“Hidden Within!”(Dt.30:11-14).
“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?’ No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.”
There is a word called “conscience.” It is defined as “a person’s moral sense of right and wrong, viewed as acting as a guide to one’s behavior.” Words related to conscience include: incorruptibility, honesty, fortitude, moral conscience, moral courage and morality.
However, one would have thought that conscience is enough until we begin to have attachments like “guilty conscience, bad conscience and good conscience. Etc.
What we do right or wrong emanates from within.
The prophet says, “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”(Mi.6:8).
The psalmist says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you”(Ps.119:11).
We do not look up to the stars for answers, the answer is within you.
Dear friend, it is all wrapped in one word: love. This love was made manifest in Christ and through Christ. He is enough for those who “confess with their mouth that ‘Jesus is Lord,” and believe in their hearts that God raised him from the dead…(Rom.10:5-10).
The greatest book any person can write is in the heart. At the end of creation God saw that everything he had created was good. The heart of man was good too, until sin corrupted it. But we can still make it good for the LORD has shown us that which is good and has hidden it in our hearts.
Prayer of the day and week: Holy Spirit open to me the fountain of God’s living water within me that I can drink of it and share it with others. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working day and week! Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
