“Eternity In Our Hearts!”(Eccl.3:1-14)[25/11/24].
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot…What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil – this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.”
It is now that I am trying to put up my retirement house. I guess I am being foolish as you may be wondering when I will live in the house and for how long? Maybe the Wiseman wouldn’t say I’m stupid because he knows that there is a time for everything. By the way, what about the people who built their luxurious retirement homes when they were still young and even at retirement they have not lived in it?
God has made everything beautiful in its time. It doesn’t matter when you have what you have as long as it keeps you happy and gives you the opportunity to do good. Because there is nothing better than to be happy and do good.
God has set eternity in our hearts; which is to say while you cherish the moment, know that a day of returning home is nearby. We are pilgrims and our only progress is how we will get home. The things we fret and worry about changes nothing in the plan of God because he knew the end from the beginning.
Our duty is to revere God who has constructed a super highway for our homeward journey in the person of his Son Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life! He is the way! He is the only way to make eternity a reality.
Prayer of the day and week: Lord Jesus Christ thank you for using your blood to make eternity real for us. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working day and week! Have a blessed day and week!
