“Ancient Words That Guides!”(Prov.28:19-28).
It was the heart of the rainy season when the down pour of rains is persistent. The grasshopper went to the ant to beg for food. The ant refused, reminding the grasshopper that during the season of gathering it went about jumping from one place to the other, eating all that it chanced upon.
It is the same for us humans. If you work your land you will have abundant food, but if you go about chasing fantasies, you will experience poverty.
Young people today engage in scamming and all sorts of fraudulent acts just to get rich quick. Ancient words that help says, “A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.” Such eager-to-get-rich people are equally stingy.
Have you noticed that those who stir up dissension are greedy people? They manipulate the vulnerable to rise up against others so that they can make gains out of the confusion. Such people are fools who trust so much in themselves.
On the contrary, those who walk in wisdom and trust in the LORD will prosper and be kept safe.
Lastly, when people complain against poor leadership, some give dumb arguments like, “If is was not God’s choice why is the person chosen?” King Saul was also God’s choice, Judas Iscariot was Jesus’ choice; even Satan was God’s choice. The difference is in the people’s reaction to their leadership. As soon as the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding, but as soon as authority forsakes them, the righteous thrives.
This explains why evil people while in power promulgate laws that will protect them from their atrocities when they are down!
What all these means is that hard work has a reward. Kindness begets kindness. It is good to be good and to do good. Above all, trust in the LORD!
Weekend prayer: LORD speak to me that I may speak. Teach me that I may teach and lead me to where you want me to go for you. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
