“I Know Who Holds Tomorrow!”(Jam.4:11-17).
“…Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.’ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life. You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’ As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.”
He sins because he doesn’t know about tomorrow.
In the middle of a lament, prophet Jeremiah was still convinced that the steadfast love of the LORD never changes, his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning… ‘The LORD is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.'”(Lam.3:22-24).
Inspired by the above scriptures I woke up this morning with this song in my heart:

“I Know Who Holds Tomorrow!”

I don’t know about tomorrow
I just live from day to day
I don’t borrow from the sunshine
For its skies may turn to gray.

I don’t worry o’er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I’ll walk beside Him
For He knows what lies ahead.

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Ev’ry step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb
Ev’ry burden’s getting lighter
Ev’ry cloud is silver lined.

Well there the sun is always shining
There no tear will dim the eye
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Yes I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds
my hand.(Ira F. Stanphill).
Yes,my friend, “God holds the future in his hands”(Ps.16:5). Therefore, plan with God.
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit, inspire me daily to submit my plans to the LORD. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
