“Lord Jesus Christ My Faith Is In You!”
Generally when people know where we come from they think that they know us inside out. That’s a deception because you cannot judge the quality of a book by its cover. Most times God stores pearls of great value in earthen vessels.
According to some people Jesus could not be the Christ because they knew where he was from. In their naive understanding, “when the Christ comes, no-one will know where he is from.”
The manifestation of the glory of God does not come in extraordinary packaging. God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong(I Cor.1:27f).
Jesus boldly cried out to them: “Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, but I know him because I am from him and he sent me.”
The courage and boldness of Jesus is our encouragement for the prophetic voice. The threat to his life did not stop him from speaking publicly. When God is watching your back your enemies can never have their chance upon your life. It is not as if it won’t happen, but it happens only as the Lord wills it! Yes, “they tried to sieze him, but no-one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.” On the contrary he continued to create positive impact as “many in the crowd put their faith in him.”(Jn. 7:25-31).
My friend, nothing can happen to you unless it is God’s appointed time! Your adversaries will succeed at God’s appointed time, but while it is now, “no-one can lay a hand on you because your time has not yet come!” Sometimes friends would tell you, “please be careful!” Don’t be scared! Tell them there’s nothing to be careful about! Our times are in God’s hands! The threats and stiff oppositions should not deter you from any God-ordained assignment! Courage friend; keep on keeping on!
Prayer: Thank you Lord for giving us Jesus Christ as the Word of truth. Holy Spirit empower us to put our faith in him. Amen!
