“Now That You Know Christ, Put On The New Self!”
Jesus says of us, “You are the light of the world…let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven”(7:13-16). In his second letter to the Corinthians Paul states, “…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”(5:17). It is an imperative; so to say, that is what must be once we identify with Christ.
The implication of this is we should no longer live in the futility of our thinking. You and I become the difference by putting off the old self “which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires…”
We have “to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness “(Eph.4:17-24).
Dear friend, ours is to be the difference by being positively different in a world of negative indifference! Who we are and what we have become is the greatest tool of our evangelism! Thank God for grace through Christ Jesus!
