“Overcome Evil With Love!”
In the good old days when a child had opportunity to travel overseas, family members used to come from far and near to stay the night, just like when Meka was to receive a medal in Ferdinand Oyono’s “The Old Man And The Medal.”
In those good old days the cords of love that bind was so strong.
These days people keep their agendas top secret for fear of enemies from within. The evil pervading the world in all spheres of life including the church is due to the lack of love and the disregard for the dignity of life!
Today John reminds us, “For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous”(I Jn.3:11-12).
Do you have people who feel like eating your flesh raw? Don’t mind them! Their hatred against you is because your works are righteous and theirs are evil like that of Cain.
Remember that somebody has opportunity to kick your buttocks only because you are standing in front of the one!
Continue to show love to those who hate you because God is watching your back! Love conquers every evil plan against you! Stand firm and be strong!
Weekend Prayer: Holy Spirit help me to retain the old time message of loving those who hate me. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
