“Pray For A Mind Which Sees Through The Duplicity Of Doubled-minded People!”
We all know what should be done to resolve the crises we are in, but we spend time in a charade of “play-acting” thus internationally providing decptive cosmetic solutions!”
An important question addressing the relationship between church and state was put to Jesus, but the motive was wrong. The teachers of the law and the chief priests were keeping close watch on Jesus. They were angered by a parable he said which challenged them. “They sent spies, who pretended to be honest. They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said so that they might hand him over to the power and authority of the Governor.”
They asked him, “Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” Jesus, an expert of mindsight “saw through their duplicity…” His answer silenced them. He told them that if the currency they were using belonged to Caesar, then they should pay his taxes! “…Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
Even Caesar knows what belongs to God, and the prelates know what belongs to Caesar! But as long as both sides open their meetings with prayer and tell lies all through the meeting, then end with prayer, no good can come out of it!
Luke tells us that “astonished by his answer they were silent”(Lk.20:20-26). Beware of those who come to question you! Have great mindsight to see through the duplicity of men so that you can be inspired to give them answers which astonish and silence them!
Prayer: Holy Spirit give me a discerning mind to see through the duplicity of “Job’s comforters. Inspire me with answers that astonish and silence them. Amen!
