“Shine The Light Of Christ In A Dark World!”
“Moses was there with the LORD for forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant – the Ten Commandments.”
When there’s a great task to be performed in the presence of the Lord for the benefit of his people, physical hunger and thirst should take backstage.
However, the focus of today is the radiance one receives in the presence of the Lord. When Moses returned from the mountain his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord. The people saw this and were afraid to approach him.
Moses however convinced them and they came “and he gave them all the commands the Lord had given him on Mount Sinai”(Ex. 34:28-35).
It may be humanly accepted that you cannot read the mind through the face but the face still remains a window to the heart.
When we spend time in the presence of the Lord, be it in meditation, reflection, contemplation or prayer, we come out with a certain aura which radiates calm, love and peace!
My friend, in the midst of the maddening crowd, find time to be in the presence of the Lord so that he can dictate what brings social and spiritual nourishment to his people. Always shine the light of Christ to a world darkened by strife, hate and evil!
Prayer: Heavenly Father feed me with your word and let me drink from the pool of the Holy Spirit so that I may radiate your peace, love and justice, through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord! Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
