“The Blessing Of The Lord Is Upon You!”
This moral question has been debated upon severally by both theologians, clergy and laity concerning the source of what Christians bring to God as offerings. Is God always satisfied with the offerings we make to him?
Besides, some people take it for granted that they have a special relationship with God because of their fathers’ positions, offices or roles! But as the saying goes, “when men applaud the action, God sees the motive!”
Aaron and Moses offered offerings to the Lord, then they came out, “blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.” And because the sacrifices were acceptable by the Lord, “all the people shouted for joy and fell face down.”
Immediately after that Aaron’s sons “offered unauthorised fire before the Lord” and the result was that “fire came from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.”
My friend there are many who have died spiritually because they stand before the Lord and offer what God has not authorised. Always ensure that what you bring into the presence of the Lord is authorised!
The Lord says, “Among those who approach me I will show myself holy; in the sight of the people I will be honoured”(Lev.9:22-10:5).
Prayer: Lord, may my offering be acceptable in your sight so that I should not be consumed by the fire of your wrath. Amen!
Welcome to a new working week! May God’s abundant blessings, peace and love be with you this day and all through the week!
