“The Holy Trinity At Work!”(Acts2:29-36).
“God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear…Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Sunday 26th May will be Holy Trinity Sunday. In this we reflect on the Three Persons of the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father creates, God the Son redeems and God the Holy Spirit sanctifies. God sent the Son and the Son seny the Holy Spirit.
Whatever the Jews had in mind when they condemned Jesus and put him to death, it served a good purpose. Jesus is Christ only because he was raised from the dead. Peter drives home this point to his listeners, “God has made this Jesus whom you crucified, both LORD and CHRIST.” May the Holy Spirit be forever present with us enabling us to witness with conviction and certainty of the Lord and Christ whom we know by faith.
Prayer: Come Holy Spirit come to strengthen our faith in Jesus our Lord and Christ, Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
