“Use Your Body As An Instrument Of Righteousness To God!”
Our legs often carry us to places where we use other parts of our bodies to satisfy the evil desires of our mortal bodies. We lie with tongue, we admire with the eyes and lust in the heart. We use the hands to write evil and to kill. We hear and see what prompts evil desires and actions etc!
Paul advises: “…do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you do not obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruements of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are…under grace”(Rom.6:12-14).
My friend, knowing that you are now under grace, what has changed in the way you use parts of your body? Whichever part of your body you are using today ask yourself whether you are using it as an instrument of righteousness to God! If it won’t serve as an instrument of righteousness, then don’t use it!
Prayer: Lord help me this day to consciously use each part of my body as instruments of righteousness to you. Amen!
